• The 1-page paper and the 4-page paper (for accepted papers) should not exceed 1 or 4 A4-pages, respectively.
• All printed material must fit within 210 mm x 297 mm with the paper margins: 18mm on the left and right and on top and bottom of each page.
• The first page must start with title, author list and affiliations extending across the full width of the page.
• Paper title is to appear in CAPITAL LETTERS centered across the top of the two columns on the first page (Arial bold size 14).
• Authors’ names (Arial bold 11) and affiliations (Arial size 10) appear below the title, also centered, in capital and lower case letters. Give all authors’ names: do not use et. al.
• Mark the name of authors with a number (1) and provide affiliations and addresses. Underline the name of presenting author.
• Mark the name of the corresponding author with an asterisk (*) and provide phone fax number and e-mail.
• The abstract text should directly follow the title, author list and affiliations on the first page.
• Manuscript: Each 4-page paper should contain an abstract of about 60 words that appears at the beginning of the paper in a simple column format (Arial size 10).
• Abstract must be followed by a maximum of 3 keywords (Arial size 10).
• The body of the manuscript will be formatted in two columns (Arial size 10).
• Columns should left-and right-justify. On the last page of your paper, try to adjust the lengths of the two columns so they are the same. Please remember to spell check your entire paper.
• All manuscript must be typed single space (or equivalent) to fit within the two column borders.
• Do not overcrowd the paper by making the spacing too small in the text. Small type faces can create severe readability problems when printed. Please do not use a smaller print than 10 points unless when listing, references, tables, table names, table captions, figure captions, footnotes, and sub-and superscripts.
• Use either one or two spaces between sections and between text and tables or figures to manipulate the column length.
• Define abbreviations and acronyms the first time they are used.
• Major headings appear in CAPITAL LETTERS centered. (Arial bold 12)
• References: List and number all references at the END of the paper. When referring to them in the text, type the corresponding reference number in square brackets as shown at the end of this sentence [1].
• Caption and number every illustration. Figure captions should be below the figures: table captions should be above the tables. Illustrations may span two columns if necessary
• Photographs: All halftone illustrations must be high quality. No color photos.
• Footnotes: Number the footnotes separately in superscripts1. Place the actual footnote at the bottom of the column in which it is cited. Do not put footnotes in the reference list.

Accepted authors are invited to submit a 4-page extended paper to be published in the conference proceedings distributed to all attendees on a CD-ROM. All delegates will receive printed conference proceedings including all accepted 1-page abstracts at the conference. The deadline for submission of the 4-page extended paper is 15 July 2008. The programme committee will decide on the form in which the accepted abstracts are to be presented, as poster or as oral presentation.

Elsevier is sponsor of the EUROSENSORS conferences and selected authors will be invited to submit updated pa-pers to Special Volumes of Sensors and Actuators A: Physical and B: Chemical. The manuscripts will be submitted online and Elsevier will send out detailed instructions as how to submit.

At the end of the conference, during the closing session, both the three best posters and oral presentations will be awarded.
